Pesach is the story of a people leaving slavery for freedom. For the Jews of Belarus, freedom came late. Generations grew up under a regime that cut them off from Torah, from tradition, and from the Seder itself.

That is the gap Yad Yisroel fills every Pesach. In Pinsk and in communities across Belarus, we host Sedorim, deliver matzoh, wine, and Yom Tov food, and make sure the students in our schools and the elderly in our care celebrate Pesach the way it is meant to be celebrated: together, at a full table.

Your gift does more than provide a meal. For many of our guests, it is the first Seder they have ever attended, and the first time the story of Yetzias Mitzrayim becomes their own.
