WHO MARILLYN WAS
A Life of Tireless Dedication
As co‐chair of Chicago Action for Soviet Jewry, Marillyn worked to support countless Refuseniks — sending educators, rabbis, and vital supplies into the Soviet Union to help Jewish families hold onto their faith and heritage.

WHO MARILLYN WAS
Children Who Need
More Than a Chance
Many of the children supported by this fund come from homes of profound hardship. Some have been abandoned. Others live with parents who are unable to care for them. Poverty, poor health, and complete disconnection from Jewish life are common.

At Yad Yisroel’s boarding school in Pinsk, these children find safety, structure, and a sense of belonging. They receive nutritious meals, medical care, emotional support, and a meaningful Jewish education. They learn Hebrew. They celebrate Shabbat. They study Torah. They grow up surrounded by mentors who care deeply about them.

Yad Yisroel remains by their side long after graduation. Many go on to build meaningful lives in Israel, the United States, and other Jewish communities. They become empowered young adults who break cycles of poverty and neglect — and many return to help others do the same.

Honor Her Legacy
The cost to care for and educate one child is approximately $10,000 per year. Our goal is to fund at least ten full scholarships in Marillyn’s memory.
